Professional Archive Manager for Exchange v3.5 adds e-Discovery Compliance Suite
Vienna, Austria – July 15th, 2008 – The newest release of Professional Archive Manager for Exchange brings much anticipated additions to e-discovery compliance modules of the software. The award-winning email archiving solution leads the way in providing a unified approach to email compliance, continuity, storage optimization and lifecycle management.
The upgrade provides integration of e-discovery compliance aspects through the incorporation of legal holds, Archive Web enhancements and Direct Archive redesign. The e-discovery compliance features have been developed and extended for Professional Archive Manager for Exchange to meet the ongoing demands of email archiving management legislation. Unlike the competition, Professional Archive Manager for Exchange is a unified product and has no extra add-ons that one must pay over the top prices for – the new features in 3.5 are included in the standard base license fee.
Professional Archive Manager for Exchange can now perform legal holds on archived content where documents are locked and retrieved for legal and audit purposes. The extraction process is performed in the enhanced Archive Web portal which has been redesigned to use the same functionality as the Enterprise Manager export. The improvements to the Archive Web give Auditors a simpler and faster approach to searching and processing folders. Although the Web service is generally used for e-discovery purposes it is also a valuable tool to access archived data during an Exchange outage or for certain users in the company to have access to email content. The search templates can be saved for future use and re-occurring Audit reviews.
To add to innovative e-discovery features in the new release the Direct Archiving technology, developed exclusively by Metalogix to instantly archive messages as they hit the Exchange Server, has been extended. The redesign includes the change from synchronous to asynchronous event sinks raising the performance level of the Exchange Server while Direct Archiving jobs are running.
The last two additions to Professional Archive Manager for Exchange v3.5 are modifications to the PST Importer and extra reporting and statistical options. More information is now available to the Administrator whilst s/he is performing a PST Import and also further statistics on archived data.
