Vienna, Austria – July 25th, 2008 – The latest release of Professional Archive Manager for Files adds numerous never seen before features to optimize the file server environment. The most recent update of Professional Archive Manager for Files features highlights such as faster performance rates through a new kernel driver, integrated full text search, archive forecasting and extended reporting.
The new kernel driver has been developed to improve the underlying performance of the archiving software. The new statistics tab in Professional Archive Manager for Files Admin manager allows for further opportunities to optimize the archive and overall file system. Now a snapshot of the file server can be taken and an estimation made of how much space will be saved after archiving. Also, extensive reporting and statistics of archived content and jobs filtered by daily, weekly, monthly and yearly criteria.
Lastly, Professional Archive Manager for Files is increasing its compatibility in multiple enterprise platforms with the support of 64-bit environments, Apple MAC, Windows Server 2008, active/active clusters and HP Polyserve.
