Professional Archive Manager offers Email Archiving to 5,600 Mailboxes for A.T.U
A.T.U uses Professional Archive Manager for Exchange email archiving technology and expertise to centralize their MS Exchange Server environment, comply with information regulations and provide their Blackberry users with access to archived messages.
VIENNA, AUSTRIA - AUGUST 20th, 2008 – A.T.U Auto-Teile-Unger, the Auto services specialists, have announced their implementation of the award-winning Professional Archive Manager for Exchange email archiving solution.

A.T.U required a standardized, updated Active Directory and MS Exchange email system. There were overall 11 sub-projects planned. Metalogix worked alongside IBM to redirect the various branch networks into one central location.
The 5,600 mailbox installation displays the scalability of Professional Archive Manager for Exchange and flexibility collaborating with 3rd party products. The Post Processing tool in Professional Archive Manager for Exchange is designed specifically to extend the functionality of email archiving especially in document or content management systems. For example, during the email lifecycle the message can be processed by 3rd party products to add the message to a business workflow, CRM system, external storage system etc.
A.T.U is archiving 17,000 emails daily with over 1,000 PST’s (Personal Information Store) already centrally stored. The clustered Exchange environment is connected to WORM storage media guaranteeing the security and integrity of each and every message. Professional Archive Manager for Exchange flexible retention management policies stipulate that messages are archived, retrieved and deleted in the specified time periods.
As far as the user is concerned the implementation caused very little disruption to everyday working processes. Blackberry users are able to access archived emails on their handheld for up to 90 days. The installation process took five days overall with Metalogix Support on hand at any moment.
