Tiered Storage

Active Tiering

Avoid the limitations of RBS FILESTREAM

Microsoft's sample RBS provider, FILESTREAM, doesn't bypass SQL Server for BLOB I/O, can't use external storage and doesn't work with SQL Enterprise Edition. StoragePoint bypasses SQL to increase SharePoint performance, uses external storage to reduce costs and works with any flavor of SQL.

Migrate Large Volumes of File Share Content

StoragePoint catalogs file shares into SharePoint without moving the files through the SharePoint API layers. This provides a low-fidelity, high-speed migration capability for SharePoint. Cataloged file share content can then use SharePoint's features, such as permissions, workflows, alerts, search, and metadata.
