Metalogix has a world class support organization with a "follow the sun" 24-hour support program, leveraging 3 English-speaking technical operations in North America and Europe. As the developer of Sunbelt SEA and SFA products, Metalogix can provide not only timely initial response to Support inquiries, but can also ensure rapid escalation to internal level 2 and 3 Support and Development experts within our Support facilities.

What was the traditional partnership between Sunbelt and Metalogix? 

Metalogix developed and brought its Archive Manager software to market in 2005.  In 2009, Sunbelt Software joined with us as an OEM channel partner, private-labeling our archiving products under its SFA and SEA brands and distributing to its resellers and customer base.  This relationship was highly successful, resulting in over 1000 customers, and was supported by tightly coordinated joint sales and support activities between the two companies.

  

What is the new Metalogix relationship with Sunbelt and how did it come about? 

In 2010, Sunbelt Software was acquired by GFI.  GFI and Metalogix share an important link as portfolio companies of the same investment group with common board members and aligned business objectives.  With an increased focus on security and utility products, GFI-Sunbelt determined that its data archiving products would be better delivered and supported by Metalogix, given the common ownership for both companies, Metalogix’ background as the developer of the software, and its ability to execute on Support and Sales in all territories.  In turn, Metalogix was excited to create a direct connection with a large segment of its end-users.  We successfully concluded the acquisition of the Sunbelt SFA and SEA business in early January 2011, thereby transferring all Sunbelt licensing and support obligations for these products to Metalogix.

 

Does anything change with my Sunbelt software maintenance agreement for SEA and SFA? 

Metalogix has assumed responsibility for all Sunbelt commitments and obligations in your currently active Support Agreement.  All such agreements remain in effect through their term and there is no need for any action on the part of end-users to continue with “operations as usual.”

 

What is the status of the Sunbelt SEA and SFA software licenses I purchased from Sunbelt? 

Metalogix has assumed responsibility for all Sunbelt commitments and obligations in your currently active License Agreements. 

 

How do I renew Maintenance for SEA and SFA? 

Within 3 months of your current Maintenance term expiration, Metalogix will contact you with a quote for a Metalogix maintenance program to extend the level of service you received from Sunbelt.  The Metalogix programs are available in 1- or multi-year offerings. 

 

Will my maintenance renewal costs and services change? 

Metalogix has worked carefully to ensure that Sunbelt customers can extend the rates they enjoyed with Sunbelt and had likely budgeted for renewal periods.  In fact, we will extend these rates to multi-year agreements if you wish to extend beyond a 1-year contract.

 

What if I use other Sunbelt products? 

The change in provider and support organizations from Sunbelt to Metalogix only applies to the Sunbelt SEA and SFA products and related maintenance services.  GFI-Sunbelt will be able to provide details on policies for all other Sunbelt products and services.
