Trends & Hot Topics at SharePoint Saturday Bremen
The latest SharePoint Saturday took place for the first time in Northern Germany. "Schuppen Eins" in Bremen proved to be an excellent location to continue this successful event series.
The day consisted of numerous exciting talks and interesting conversations, including the exciting "SharePint" in the evening, ensured a great day for the geeks and professionals of the scene.
There was no lack of diversity of content on this SharePoint Saturday. The topics were on point, covering the constant development of tools such as Microsoft Flow, PowerApps and Microsoft Teams. These are hot topics especially since they can be used better in a professional enterprise environment and offer more features for IT Pros and Admins.
Other much discussed topics included migration to the cloud and why hybrid approaches are the new normal and an often favoured alternative. Of course, "Mr. OneDrive" MVP, Hans Brender, who explained the highlights in terms of further development, e. g. the possibility of offline use, could not be missed. Vesa Juvonen discussed the latest Microsoft SharePoint patterns and practices, which are especially relevant for SharePoint On-Premises customers. SharePoint Online users learned how to add custom templates and scripts to the deployment process.
As expected one major focus was about GDPR. MVP Nicki Borell and MVP Ragnar Heil presented the backfground on this topic, clarified some key points and advised on concrete practical actions and recommendations that must be taken into account by 25 May 2018, at the latest.
Following the live event, the content, trends and hot topics were analyzed and discussed by Nicki and Ragnar in a dedicated webinar. "Trends & Topics from SPS Bremen", the on-demand webinar may be downloaded here for you to capture the interesting topics if you missed the event.
We are looking forward to seeing you again at next SharePoint Saturday!
