Metalogix EMEA Partner Summit: Building Stronger Alliances

By James Fowell | May 23, 2018

On 16th May 2018, Metalogix held their 1st annual EMEA partner summit at their UK office in central London. This was an opportunity for our partners to come together to hear all the latest news from the Metalogix team, get insights into future developments of products and solutions, and most importantly share a few drinks to celebrate the great work from the partner community.

The day kicked off with introductions from Nathan Trenzinger (Metalogix EMEA SVP), who provided his view from the bridge. Unusually for Nathan, he managed to keep within his time and passed quickly across to the EMEA Channel Director, Amy Roberts, to review the past year and provide updates on the partner program. Amy shared some interesting statistics about the growth of the channel business across EMEA and confirmed that technical enablement is at the heart of the Metalogix partner program, to ensure that partners have skilled services capabilities to deliver successful projects.

Ragnar Heil (Microsoft Alliance Manager and Office 365 MVP) was up next to talk about how Metalogix and Microsoft are working together to drive Microsoft Azure and Office 365 consumption and was quickly followed by Ryan Patrick Tully, the Director of Product Management. Ryan had flown in from the US but showed no signs of jet lag as he gave a whirlwind overview of all that’s new with the Metalogix solutions. A highlightwas the releases of Intelligent Migration for Content Matrix, which provides a single platform to assess, plan, and move content to a new environment.

Marketing Director EMEA, Priya Patel, then announced some new marketing initiatives, partner strategies including MetaVengers, a program with a select group of our top customers, strategic partners and technology experts, to share best practices and industry insights.

The second half of the day were led by Chris Thorpe, EMEA Partner Solutions Engineer and James Fowell, EMEA Senior Partner Manager, who led two breakout sessions for the technical and commercial audience respectively. Lots of great feedback was collected about how Metalogix can support their partners further and there were some brilliant ideas for future development.

The sessions of the day were wrapped up an executive Q&A panel, where the juices started flowing (I’m not talking about the drinks. That came later!), with some very interesting questions and discussions took place. had to be there!

The day ended with some well-deserved drinks and canapes before heading to Metalogix’s second boardroom, also known as, The Pub, for further networking and fun.

In summary, the summit was a huge success and it was fantastic to hear how the Metalogix solutions are being leveraged by our partners to deliver some great client projects.

Thank you to our partners for their support, close alliance and the prospect of an even more successful future.

See you next year at the EMEA Partner Summit 2019!
