Migration Suite

Metalogix is proud to announce the release of the Migration Suite build which is a Hot Fix on the 5.1.0 release.  Existing v5.1.0 customers using these editions are encouraged to upgrade to this release if they need the enhancements listed below or have encountered the maintenance issues listed below.

This Hot Fix applies to the following products:

  1. Migration Manager for SharePoint
  2. Migration Manager for SharePoint – Public Folder Edition

This build fixes a few issues. There are no new features in this build.

Database Names not sorted alphabetically in Migration Manager when connected using DB Connection

Database names are now sorted alphabetically


The alert template setting is not being preserved

The template setting of alerts is now preserved


When reconfiguring multiple jobs, "Rename Site" and other job settings are not preserved for jobs other than the first job in the list.

Only settings which have been changed from what is displayed in the UI will be modified in jobs outside of the first job that are being reconfigured

List Templates based on features and templates read using the custom template path feature are not read correctly

Templates defined in features and templates read using the custom template path feature now correctly read their template data in the DB reader


Metalogix Extensions Web Service sometimes fails to remove the SharePoint solution during an uninstall

The uninstaller will now wait for up to 5 minutes for the retraction to complete before it stops waiting for the retraction


Metalogix Web Services (MLWS) 2010 Extensions causes error when resources appropriate for the specified culture or the neutral culture are not found

Support for resource identification for the MLWS 2010 Extensions has been improved


2003 to 2007 site migration shows "not in range" exception

Fixed bug where "Value does not fall within the expected range." exception is thrown when copying from SP2003 to SP2007 over Metalogix Extensions Web Service.
